Anthropocentrismus (Graece ἄνθρωπος 'homo' + κέντρον 'centrum') est fides homines sapientes esse mediam vel maxime significantem telluris speciem (quae statum moralem vel pretium habere morali omnium organismorum aliorum statu maius), vel perceptionem et aestimationem realitatis ex cosmotheoria solum humana intellegendae esse.[1] Vocabulum pro humanocentrismo adhiberi potest, nonnullique hanc notionem dominatum humanum et exceptionalismum humanum appellant. Principium mediocritatis est contrarium.

Invenitur anthropocentrismus in multis hodiernis culturis humanis et factis consciis penitus insitus. Notio magni momenti in ethica circumiectorum et philosophia circumiectorum est, ubi saepe habetur causa quaestionum ab operibus humanis intra oecosphaerium effectarum.

Multi autem qui anthropocentrismo faveant rem sic habitam negant, affirmantes validum propositum diuturnum agnoscere circumiecta sana quae sustinere potest humanibus necessaria esse, et rem veram esse anthropocentrismum levem.[2][3]
